Who Is Zachary Miers
Zachary Miers is a 2003 graduate of Bloomsburg University with an undergraduate degree in secondary education. After nearly 10 years as a high school social studies teacher and coach, he went on to earn his master's degree in professional counseling from Liberty University in early 2015. He is a clinically trained counselor in the evidence-based and empirically supported practices of Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy (ESFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Zachary is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) in the State of Pennsylvania. For the past 9 years, he has provided counseling to individuals and families who are affected by mental health disorders, substance use and alcohol use disorders, and comorbid disorders. During his career, he has conducted countless hours of individual and group counseling, developed clinical programs that focus on family systems therapy, and provided supervision for counselors seeking licensure. Zachary was an integrated clinical counselor in the outpatient primary care setting with PENN/Lancaster General Health from November 2019 to November 2021. He was then promoted to Manager of Behavioral Health-Addiction Medicine, where he oversaw PENN/LGH's Center of Excellence Program that provided MOUD/MAUD to patients with an Opioid Use Disorder and/or Alcohol Use Disorder. In November 2022, Zachary accepted the position of Chief Clinical Officer for the Pennsylvania Recovery Center & Behavioral Health Center. As of March 15h, 2024 Zachary successfully launched his private practice & consulting business now known as Unified Clinical Services.Â
